Silka brings leadership and hands-on experience to near-future Product Design & Strategy. She achieves this through inclusive collaboration, prototyping practices and excellent craftsmanship, all with the aim to earn a spot in people’s lives. Her entrepreneurial leadership roles began in 2000 when running digital design firm serving Silicon Valley startups, then leading an award winning Mobile team at News Limited, founding an AR startup in 2010, directing & working on products for Samsung, and lately advising and mentoring AR startups and women in tech. Silka and her family have found their hearts in San Francisco, but hark from sunny Sydney where beaches are warm and irony is funny. In her spare time, you’ll see her being inspired by her kids sense of wonder and imagination, practicing her karate and drinking whiskey, preferably not at the same time.
