As designers, we are often faced with contradictions on the field, for e.g. human behaviour following different patterns within the same context or users stating completely contrasting needs. While inclusive design is an aim we all want to work towards, our culture of operating within the premise of ‘one single truth’ can paralyse us. Specially when we work with corporate clients, it becomes even more difficult to incorporate contradictions and uncertainty within the design process. This workshop gives an experience of some tools and frameworks to effectively negotiate contradictions and put them in formats that make sense to non-design folks.
